Mission
Our mission is to foster an understanding of the principles of environmental justice and urban sustainability in our young people in order to promote the long-term health of their communities.
Main Issue(s)
Literacy for Environmental Justice (LEJ) is a youth empowerment and environmental health and justice non-profit organization based in the community of Bayview Hunters Point San Francisco, California. We provide free hands on educational programs to public schools; and paid youth internships in the areas of environmental health, urban restoration, and food access.
