- A tour of Northern Manhattan, including several of the bus depots operated by the Metropolitan Transit Authority, the North River Sewage Treatment plant, the Department of Sanitation’s marine garbage transfer station, the Harlem Piers Waterfront Park and the currently-under-development WE ACT Environmental Justice Center of New York.
- The tour will end at the steps of WE ACT’s EJ Center, with local elected officials highlighting the pressing need for a comprehensive New York State Environmental Justice Policy and a New York City Environmental Justice Executive Order by the governor. Event Location: 125 and Fred Douglass, WE ACT office 27 West 125th street.

- Meet at: 166A 22nd St. between 3rd and 4th Avenues in Brooklyn
- Come in, watch one of the films, scientific expedition, youth justice, environmental enforcers.
- Then bus departs for tour, down to first avenue, see proposed waterfront park, Gowanus Expressway, and turbines, from 22nd to 44th and first. See victory.
Main Issues
- Air pollution and solid waste issues;
- Development of community power to participate in local land use decisions;
- Nurturing the next generation of EJ activists and advocates by developing an abandoned brownstone in West Harlem into the WE ACT EJ Center of New York. Once completed, this state-of-the-art green building with Gold LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) rating by the U.S. Green Building Council will house our Youth Leadership Development program, our community organizing campaigns and our environmental health research activities.
