Program
- 9:00–9:30 — Meet at the Rainier Community Center, 4600 Rainier Ave. S.
- 9:30–9:45 — Travel to Terminal 107 Duwamish Tribe Long House for opening blessing of the Duwamish tribal lands. Terminal 107. Guests will be asked for donations.
- 9:45–10:00 — Harbor Marina Business Park, 1001 Klickitat Way for a Duwamish River boat tour.
- 10:00–12:00 — Duwamish River Boat Tour: Can take 40 people on the boat.
- 12:00 Lunch — Sack lunches provided starting at 12:00 to eat during tour.
- 12:00–12:30 — Bus Toxic Tour: Bus leaves Harbor Marina and tours S. Park toxics at the T117 site.
- 12:30–1:30 — Lunch while on Gentrification tour of Rainier Valley: Tour Guide Reginald Denny, Community Activist. While eating sack lunches we will tour Seattle’s nationally celebrated “redevelopment” efforts and hear from South End residents how redevelopment has impacted low income people of color in Seattle.
- 1:30–2:00 — Travel to Rainier Community Center for a Community Justice Roundtable discussion, keynote address, booths, music and closing march.
- 2:00–4:00 — Community Gathering & March at Rainer Community Center
- 2:00–2:25 — Welcoming Address, Musical performance
- 2:25–2:30 — Keynote (Rev. Samuel McKinney being invited)
- 2:30–3:30 — N.W. EJ Communities Speak (fishbowl discussions).
- 3:30 – 4:30 — People’s Community Justice March (starting at Rainier & Alaska).
